Here's some photos of cats. Please send yours in too!! I've had many cats throughout my life, and can't really remember a time when I was without one. While I love all animals, I think I've always been a cat person - you either are or aren't one, I've found!! I have cats adopt me - they move into the back yard and pester me until I give in and feed them too!!  I had 4 pedigreed cats -  Shah, Sasha, Chrissie and Tuppy who lived inside and still have one outside adopted cat name Smoocher because that's what he does all the time! The inside cats were 17, 18 and 19 years old when they finally passed away, I'm not sure how old the outside one is but he is a lot younger I think. Tuppy was Shah's and Chrissy's mother but Chrissy had to be put down as she had a fit and was paralysed from it. She was also blind and Shah was blind in one eye - a result of the cat flu when they were babies which claimed the other 3 kittens from their litter. A breeding experiment that cost me thousands of dollars trying to save them and meant that I couldn't sell the remaining two because of their eyes and ended up with 4 long haired cats living inside! A lot of work and as you can see, a long term commitment!!   RIP  - Sasha and Shah - sadly over the last month both Shah and Sasha have succumbed to old age and have gone to join Chrissie and Tuppy!! It's a lonely house now but I don't think I'll be getting any more cats for a while!!

This is Snow, my daughter and son in law's Ragdoll.

Poor Snow went in for a teeth clean and ended up having eye surgery as well!!

This is Smoocher, who rules outside. He moved in when the dog died and loves having his tummy rubbed!

This is Tuppy, doesn't she look really evil with those red eyes! She was caged until we got her at around 9 months and has always been a bit strange.

This is poor old Chrissy, she didn't have much of a life as she couldn't see much but loved sitting on the back door mat. She lived to 17 years.

This is Aunty Sasha - she was the first Birman I bought and had a lovely nature. She lived to 19 years as did Tuppy.

This is Shah who ruled the inside roost. As the only male he was demanding and very affectionate. You can see his one eye glowing!!

Shah was the only seal point of the litter as well. He lived to 18 years and still loved to sleep on my lap every night.

Cat on a hot tin roof!! This is one of my visitors who was as deaf as a post but loved sunbaking on the roof of my carport. This is Frankie, a beautiful affectionate  Siamese who moved in as well. I found him a good home with some friends where he could rule the roost. Sadly he passed away.

SOME VIEWERS' PHOTOS

Hi Liz
Thanks for the photos - glen

Hello Glen: I took a couple of Cuddles for your site too. He's not very cooperative, but he "allowed" me to take his pic. He even looks arrogant! Liz

Hi Lane
Thanks for the photos. The spider is probably a funnel weaver although I can't see it very well in your photo - glen

My cat Senor Stinkypants
And just for fun, could you help me identify this spider?...I’m in upstate ny if that will help. Thank you...Lane

Hello Glen,
I came to your Petz Rule site over your other website Spiderzrule.com (I am from Germany and still not familiar with the Southeastern US critters), and would like to send you some pictures of my cats and dogs. I always take in strays but so far I had no luck with the male cats. Soon after I have them neutered (to prevent them from roaming too far), they lose their life on the road. My female is smarter, she goes to the woods behind the house and avoids the road. When I took my last male cat in (Grayson), I went to the vet immediately to have him neutered. My brother-in-law said: You know he's gonna wind up throwing himself in front of a car after you take his manhood. And so it went: 3 weeks after being neutered he was hit by a car. My brother-in-law was shocked and apologized but it didn't make things much better. This was the third cat killed by a car in less than 2 years, and this is just a small country road with a 35 mph speed limit. But some youngsters seem to make a sport out of speeding up to 70-80 mph and that is deadly for everything, not only cats... Soon after moving to this house I took in the two rascals named Betty & Freddie, brother and sister. Freddie made it to about a year and then got hit by a car. Betty is still around and despite being very independent, she waits every evening for my car to pull up. She is quite determined to get some loving, if I am to busy or distracted she gives me a little bite to remind me that she is No. 1 at this moment. In summertime she is quite tiny but for winter she grows a thick coat, little boots on her paws and a thick collar. She looks twice her size then. After Freddie I tuck in Mick. He was a little devil and loved to tease our dog Sarah. But she loved it too. These two had lots of fun fights on Sarah's "couch" (the bench in the picture). After Mick passed away, I found Mr. Grayson. He was so beautiful: solid silver gray with amber glowing eyes. And he was a lover boy!!! But he also was hit by a car at night. So that leaves Betty which is in her 5th year now, as my only cat for the time being. Besides Sarah, a boxer/pitbull mix, which came from the local animal shelter, I took in a little Spitz in March. She was sitting at the entrance door to my work place, just staring through the glass. I named her Zoe and found out that she had a bad case of autoimmune disease, her paw pads were almost completely gone and she was walking on raw flesh. She was in such a pitiful condition! Now her disease is under control with immuno suppressants and she turned out to be a lovely, sweet and very laid back dog. But she can be also pretty stubborn and sometimes an incredible clown! Sarah seems to get a little overwhelmed with Zoe's outbursts of joy and play and grumbles a bit, but finally she is rolling and tumbling with the little one. Sarah is very intelligent and sometimes I think, she understands every word I am saying. She loves to wait for the mail man and take the mail to the house. And I never need a leash with her. She stays right beside my leg when I tell her to do so. And I cannot explain it but with her love for me and her being so eager to please, since I did not specially train her. I just spend a lot of time with her and I am lucky to be able to take both dogs to work. If it was for me I would stop and gather every stray, it sometimes really breaks my heart seeing this unbelieving impression in a dogs face, not understanding that they have been dumped by the human they gave so much love to. I do not understand why humans are so cowardish to throw their dogs out at the side of the road instead of taking them to the shelter or the Humane Society. So many dead and hurt dogs just because of people being so irresponsible! Keep up the good work!!!
